When life outside her high school is obliterated, a starving teenager must survive the horror hunting the remaining students, as well as the students themselves.
This is the novel I’m currently working on. I’ve been carrying the idea around since high school. In my senior year, I wondered every day what would happen if something came and took everything away from these naive children. One minute they’re meandering between their lockers and their class rooms and the next they have nothing, only each other. What kind of relationships would there be between students with nothing left to lose? How would you react when you realized that picking colleges is pointless, that you’ll never go to the prom and that your future only consists of the next few weeks?
The Nest will explore the breakdown of civility. True natures will be revealed on the heels of horrific events. The next generation will become the last generation.
